The Archdiocese of Vancouver has a unique relationship with the community of Benedictine monks who run Christ the King Seminary. For more than 80 years, the seminary has been forming priests of sound mind and exceptional character who serve our parishes.
Visitors to Christ the King Seminary immediately are struck by its beauty. Situated on a hill, the seminary offers tremendous views of the Fraser River and the valley below. The unique architecture of the Abbey Church evokes a sense of the divine and moves the heart to contemplate God. View Photo Gallery
More powerful than its physical beauty, though, is the bond of Christian unity that exists at the seminary. There is a very close-knit fraternity among among the seminarians and monks. They share in all aspects of community life, praying and studying together, eating together, and recreating together.
Priests of the archdiocese who attended the seminary have a special connection with the monks. On visiting the seminary, there is a sense of homecoming as priests connect with old friends.
Come see for yourself why Christ the King is such a healthy community in which to live and prepare for priesthood. Register to attend a Live-In Weekend at the seminary.
